I was suprised to see the Philippino money. I recently saw "Road To Paradise" about a group of Aussie & British women in Singapore at the start of WWII and how they were put in a 'concentration camp' on Sumatra and started a 'vocal orchestra' to ease their suffering. I have the records in one of those same kinda files. I recall that he took a transport ship to Morocco, then traveled across north Africa to Egypt (there are photos of him on a camel in front of the Pyramids). Then he flew to India for a while and then Burma for a brief period. Lastly, he was sent to the Philippines where he remained until the war ended. He was sent back to the States in another troop transport and sailed under the Golden Gate Bridge (sorry no photos of that). A train trip across country was the last part of his Army career. I went through that myself, disc-otomy, then a fusion and a denial on an artificial for the same reasons and that was over 10 years ago! Insurance hasn't changed much has it?
